Caro Paz

Visual & Urban Artist, Founder of 'The Neon Method' Program

With only 5 years in the field of the arts, Caro Paz has managed to bring her work to different platforms in more than 40 countries and 3 continents.

Caro started as an urban artist but is now considered multidisciplinary, as she explores smaller formats, from fabric to ceramics, and unconventional platforms such as intervention of cars, planes, buildings, and sculptures. She has collaborated with more than 300 globally recognized brands, such as Kipling Mundo, who chose her together with 5 international artists to create a portfolio for the brand's 30-year history.

Another of her more recent contributions was a request from Warner Brothers to intervene a sculpture and display it at the premiere of one of its films. The sculpture was auctioned for a social cause. Recognized companies such as Interbank have bought her work as part of private collections for specific projects. In 2018, as part of the Pisco Cuatro Gallos artist collection, CASACOR 2019 invited her to speak near the entrance to the fair. Another of her great achievements has been to intervene a Porsche Panamera at the MALI 2019 auction, and being invited by the same brand as a representative and Peruvian artist at Scope Art Festival Miami 2019 during Art Basel.

She has just launched a course in 'Artistic exploration and creative development' on Crehana's virtual platform. At the end of 2020 Google acquired one of her pieces and made a video of her creative process to play as an intro at one of their most important meetings. In addition, she inaugurated her second collection of unique ceramic pieces, donating three of these to the fair `El Rastrillo 2020´. Caro was also one of the invited artists to participate in the ONE VOICE 2020 international festival, which aims to expose different problems caused by the global pandemic through artistic interventions.

In 2015 she won first place in the ART JAM contest of Manifesto Art just one month after starting her artistic career. In 2017 she was one of the14 winners from Volcom's  This First worldwide contest. As part of the award a documentary of her work was exhibited in Austin, Texas and was shown around the world, including China and Japan.

Today she not only has an artistic career, but is also a founder of a social project called 'The neon method', which seeks to provide tools through workshops where fear of failure is explored on various artistic platforms and recognizes the opportunities that arise from mistakes. These activities are directed at the private sector so that a percentage of the cost per workshop will finance non-profit workshops for vulnerable populations. She has had the opportunity to teach these courses to organizations such as the US Embassy, as well as managers and CEOs of Aloft and Westin.
